The Ghost Fleet of the Potomac is a little-known cultural, archaeological, and ecological resource. Partially submerged in the waters of Maryland’s Mallows Bay, this abandoned fleet includes more than 200 shipwrecks, the majority of which date to World War I. To celebrate its legacy, the Woodrow Wilson House presents a new museum exhibit that explores the Ghost Fleet’s fascinating history.
The exhibit opens officially on Friday, October 27, but you’re invited to join the Woodrow Wilson House and the National Trust for Historic Preservation for an exhibit opening and special announcement about the Ghost Fleet of the Potomac on Mallows Bay.
Public transportation is advised; the nearest metro stop is Dupont Circle on the Red Line. Limited street parking available.
Cost: Free. Tickets are not required, but space is limited so we do request you sign up in advance.
