POSTPONED – NEW DATE THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20 February 13, 2014
Speakeasy Bash! 7pm – 9pm
In 1919, President Wilson vetoed the Volstead Act, which outlawed all alcoholic beverages stronger than one-half of 1 percent. (His veto was overridden.) Join us as we open the doors to the former President’s house for an old-fashioned speakeasy bash.
Live music by the “swingin’ jazz quartet” Laissez Foure, dancing and dance demo by Jam Cellar, 1920s costume contest with prizes. Light refreshments and vintage cocktails — drinks sponsored in part by Blackwater Distilling and Sloop Betty Vodka!
You won’t want to miss this!
Host Committee
Stephanie Fischer, Allison Gaston-Enholm, Holidae Gavin, Philip Greene, Dianne McRae, Diana Minshall, Garrett Peck, Lauren Pillsbury, Brittany Prime, Sophy Pyle, Zeid Stalla, Chris Whittaker

*UPDATE: Like you, we are keeping a close eye on the weather and snow predictions for Wednesday night. We will decide by Noon on Thursday, February 13, whether or not the “Speakeasy Bash” will be cancelled due to weather and post a notice here, and on our Facebook page, of that decision.
