Join the Friend's for a Day in Baltimore! Wednesday, June 3rd!

The Friends of Wilson House and the Wilsonian Club will visit Charm City for a tour of Czech Modernist Architecture and Design. En-route to Baltimore, Joan Fabry, Sheridan-Kalorama neighbor and active member of the Friends of the Wilson House will recall memories of her father, Erno Fabry, who is the focus of retrospective exhibition at Evergreen House, a Johns Hopkins University Museum where we will also be welcomed by former Wilson House curator, James A. Abbott. Tours will be given of Evergreen, the home of the Garrett Family and of Modernism at Evergreen: Erno Fabry (1906-1984), the first exhibition devoted to the Czech-born architect and designer. After the private tour of Evergreen, we will proceed to Lunch at the exclusive Engineers Club. The Club is housed in The Garrett-Jacobs Mansion, a jewel in the crown of Baltimore's most distinctive historic homes.

President Wilson’s S Street Library Restoration Underway

Woodrow Wilson House has begun restoration of the unique faux finishes in President Wilson’s Library. This historic library is the room most associated with his post-presidential years on S Street. It was in this library that he spent his days greeting guests, friends and associates from his Princeton and White House days, including royalty and other world leaders. Surrounded by his books, priceless gifts of state, and the Nobel Peace Prize medal, Woodrow Wilson recounted his career as an educator, the 28th president of the United States, and founder of the League of Nations as he continued to meet with and mentor many of the Nation’s new generation of public servants.
