Ed Gerber, Vice Chairman of the
Woodrow Wilson House Advisory Board led a delegation of twenty Wilson House Friends to the wreath laying ceremony at the tomb

of President Woodrow Wilson at the Washington National Cathedral on December 28th, President Wilson’s 153rd Birthday.
A Military Honor Guard presented a floral tribute on behalf of President Barack Obama to honor his predecessor, and fellow Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, while drums quietly played. A prayer was given by the presiding Clergy and Taps played from the rear of the sun lit Cathedral’s nave.

Gathered this year at the Washington National Cathedral were Dr. John Milton Cooper, Jr. and his wife Judy. Dr. Cooper opened his recently published biography of Wilson by recounting this annual birthday tradition at Wilson’s final resting place. Wilson House Advisory Board member Nancy Bliss and former member Ambassador Alan Lukins were joined by Dr. and Mrs. Fitz Woodrow. Members of the Wilson House staff also particpated along with early morning holiday visitors to the Cathedral still bedecked in Christmas splendor.
