New exhibition, "My Third Leg": Woodrow Wilson’s Walking Sticks opens February 11

Woodrow Wilson House will open a new exhibition, "My Third Leg": Woodrow Wilson’s Walking Sticks on February 11th, 2010 just in time for President’s Day. This exhibition will showcase a selection of over 30 of President Wilson’s most prized walking sticks including elaborate examples of American folk art and historically significant presentation pieces. These important artifacts tell the story of Wilson’s life from his early years as a professor and later president of Princeton University, through his two terms in the White House, to his final struggle with disability.

League of Nations at 90 – Lecture at National Archives
Wednesday, January, 13, noon

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the League of Nations, the National Archives and the Woodrow Wilson House present a lecture on Woodrow Wilson by John Milton Cooper, Jr., the author of the recently published Woodrow Wilson: A Biography, the first major biography of America's twenty-eighth president in nearly two decades which upon its November publication was listed by Newsweek as one of "five biographies to read right now.". A book signing will follow the program.

Ed Gerber, Vice Chairman of the Woodrow Wilson House Advisory Board led a delegation of twenty Wilson House Friends to the wreath laying ceremony at the tomb of President Woodrow Wilson at the Washington National Cathedral on December 28th, President Wilson’s 153rd Birthday.
