Make your reservations today and plan to enjoy the 22nd Perennial Garden Party in full bloom on Wednesday, May 12th from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Our Rite of Spring promises to be even more exciting this year. Fun and fierce competition with fabulous prizes for the best Spring Hats in categories from traditional to creative will, no doubt, inspire many stunning hats for the event. Also, there are the spectacular silent auction, live music, complimentary valet parking, cocktails and ultimate hors d’oeuvres by Occasions Caterers in the Wilson House Garden.

Scott family descendants visit Wilson House

Recently Wilson House was pleased to welcome Carlton and Bunny Scott, descendants of Isaac and Mary Scott who served the Wilsons for many years at their S Street home. Curator John Powell recently uncovered an obituary of Isaac Scott, revealing that Mr. Scott was employed at Galt & Bro. jewelry store for nearly 20 years before taking up service as the favorite attendant of President Wilson. “We were unaware of Isaac’s connection to Edith Wilson, who managed the store after the death of her first husband Norman Galt,” says John. “This helps to explain the lifelong friendship between them.”
