2020 marks 100 years since women gained the right to vote. Kick off the women’s suffrage centennial year at the Woodrow Wilson House. Join notable women historians, curators, and leaders for a series of talks exploring varying aspects of the women’s suffrage movement and its relevance today. Talks will explore the movement’s origins, its radicalization during Woodrow Wilson’s presidency, and the role of race in the movement’s evolution. Ongoing programming at the Woodrow Wilson House reaches a diverse audience, attracting a range of backgrounds. Academics and students come to engage with issues of race, international studies, or gender at book signings and panel discussions. People of all ages coming to let loose and have fun in our historic home for our monthly Vintage Game Night or our quarterly cocktail parties.
